Job Description

The Transaction Advisory Team

Transaction Advisory Team core services include, Pre-Acquisition Due Diligence, across both private and publicly funded propositions, Bank Monitoring, Master Planning. This team experts offers global insights and local knowledge that combine world-class experience.

About The Opportunity

The successful candidate’s primary role will be working within the firm’s Transaction Advisory team dealing with various construction projects and Clients. This will involve conducting general project monitoring on behalf of project funders, general QS activities such as cross examination of developers costs, supporting in the review of feasibility studies, support in tender evaluations, preparing and reviewing cash flow projections, supporting and leading multi-disciplinary teams both in house and external consultants in pre-acquisition due diligence, post-contract cost control, project monitoring and other related activities.

The Role will involve:

  • Taking a support role within the Transaction Advisory team.
  • Supporting Team members in the delivery of the highest quality work product.
  • Offer commercial advice in construction matters from inception to delivery of a completed project
  • Support in the cross examination of feasibility studies
  • Support in the cross examination of developers detailed cost plans, tender documentation BoQ etc
  • Conduct tender evaluations & gap analysis on behalf of the project funders
  • Carry out post contract cost control and monitoring
  • Act as project monitor on large capital projects to financial institutions
  • Support in the review of risk evaluations on building and infrastructure project   

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Quantity Surveyor experience post qualification experience in the construction industry desirable but not essential.
  • SCSI Chartered – not necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Be able to work in a team based consultancy environment
  • Flexible approach and committed team player
  • Well-presented and professional with a flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and knowledge of,  cost X & Autodesk products.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
