Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Urban Designer for employment in our Dallas Office (Hybrid). ?
AECOM is searching for candidates that are detail focused, capable of working on multi-disciplinary projects, and work well individually as well as on a team.
The following are qualities we are looking for in this requisition:
- Responsible for initiating and developing site plans, based on direction and feedback from project team?
- Under limited supervision, completes design assignments of limited complexity?
- Applies a basic level of understanding on how urban design and physical planning affects the built environment??and can direct junior staff in the production of creating plans
- Feels comfortable working on projects that are a team effort, but can also lead internal team assignments??
- Understand how to conduct existing conditions site analysis??
- Candidates must show strong graphic skills and ability to communicate ideas and concepts through clear diagrams and data visualization.??
- Designer that are collaborative and have a professional work ethic?
- We seek designers with an understanding of building massing and block design; housing and commercial typologies; site circulation; programming; master planning; public processes and community outreach.?
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Urban planning, Architecture, Urban Design or other related fields
- Experience in medium to large scale-urban design projects
- Demonstrated?experience with AutoCAD, GIS,?Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, or SketchUp is preferred
- Ability to manage day-to-day requests from clients
