We are looking for a Systems/Business Analyst with experience in Workday, HRIS, HR, and payroll. You will clearly define and create detailed documentation to describe complex business processes to the lowest level. You will work with company partners internally, partner with HRIS if data needs to be changed or interpreted since they own the data, and also partner with Workday directly to help with data mapping (3rd party external vendor) and for documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
o Requirements Development and Signoff:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and refine requirements for both small and large-scale initiatives.
- Ensure that requirements are comprehensive, well-documented, and aligned with business objectives.
- Facilitate requirement review sessions with stakeholders, addressing feedback and ensuring consensus.
- Work diligently to gain formal signoff on requirements from relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and commitment to project goals.
- Maintain and manage a repository of approved requirements, keeping them up-to-date as project scope evolves.
o Collaboration and Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate closely with IT teams to ensure technical design, unit and functional testing, deployment, and implementation meet business requirements while maintaining proper documentation.
- Actively engage in cross-functional meetings with users, IT personnel, and non-IT stakeholders across different departments.
o Risk Management:
- Identify project risks and issues during implementation and lead efforts for timely resolution.
o Project/Product Support:
- Assist in maintaining project management tasks throughout all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on the progress and status of project deliverables.
Qualifications:
Required:
2 or more years of relevant experience as a Software Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar
Aptitude to lead projects from requirements gathering to delivery
Effectively communicate with the business and IT team members
Ability to clearly define and create detailed documentation to describe complex business processes to the lowest level
Familiarity with integration and functional testing
Experience complying with data security standards, enterprise-wide systems, and working on large data integration initiatives
Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously and adhere to timelines
Must have strong attention to detail and ability to document both system design information and processes
Ability to identify root cause and conduct initial investigation into problems as they arise
Prior success facilitating team meetings, daily standups, providing status reports, and conducting analysis
Have a strong "own the outcome" attitude about deliverables from start to finish
Proficient in employing critical thinking abilities to conduct comprehensive and meticulous analysis.
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Experience working with HR, payroll, and/or timekeeping systems and processes (such as Workday or Dayforce)
Experience using JIRA/Confluence or another Project Tracking System
Experience working within the agile methodology
