A Brief Overview
The Director Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the functionality of the facility, site maintenance, and grounds management. The Director Maintenance manages and provides leadership to the Maintenance Department to ensure all maintenance plans and schedules are accomplished safely, accurately, and efficiently.
What you will do
- Oversee the day-to-day care and maintenance of the grass, ornamental plants, shrubs and trees on the facility grounds. Maintain overall appearance of the facility.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance staff and groundskeepers. Manage third party maintenance and labor vendors.
- Order parts, supplies, and equipment as needed for turf maintenance and overseeding as needed.
- Develop and implement landscape and maintenance plans, procedures, and schedules. Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
- Direct and participate in the construction and maintenance of the grounds. Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Supervise and participate in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides) on the facility's grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure facility is prepared for events.
Education Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience Qualifications
- 4-6 years of related work experience
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in tree trimming operations & tree rehabilitation methods.
- Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in grounds keeping and maintenance work.
- Experience managing a large team and ability to train, supervise, evaluate, and motivate personnel.
- Interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and work with supervisors, officials, employees, members, and the general public.
- Knowledge of safe use, mixing, and application of chemicals and commercial products.
- Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments.
- Ability to lay out irrigation patterns, drainage patterns, and construct tees and/or greens.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Pesticide Applicator License
Pay Scale: $96,555.00 - $120,000.00
AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee's job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship. AEG may require an employee to perform duties outside his/her/their normal description.
