Job Overview
Our client, an established and rapidly growing renewable energy provider, is looking to hire a dynamic Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team based in Chicago. This person will play a pivotal role in the growth of the region by spearheading my client’s mission: to help homeowners switch to clean, renewable energy through sustainable, affordable, and reliable energy options. This Sales Manager role is a full-time, permanent position with our client.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing and leading sales employees throughout the employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, development, and performance management
- Achieving weekly and monthly sales goals
- Training, developing, and mentoring sales employees of various experience levels
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve office goals and expand the customer base within the region
- Articulately and effectively building rapport with customers while ensuring an exceptional customer service experience
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- 2 years of direct marketing, door-to-door sales, or similar experience with a strong performance record
- People management experience, including the ability to train, develop, and coach a team
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and their own vehicle
- Unrivaled interpersonal skills - you're an expert at connecting and building relationships with people
Ideal Candidates May Also Have:
- Previous experience selling solar or other renewable energy-related products or services
Compensation & Benefits
- The Sales Manager role is a full-time, exempt role with a salary of $60,000-$70,000 per year plus bonus and commission.
- On-target earnings are over $100,000
- Paid training
