What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Aero Support Group?
Avocet MRO Services has an immediate opening at our facility in Sanford, Florida for an experienced Recruiter. The position is part-time (~25 hours per week) and is a hybrid of remote and onsite work with flexible hours. Summary
Works to fill open positions by soliciting and reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, following up with managers regarding hiring decisions, coordinating hiring needs and job requirements with company managers and directors, and working with others in the Human Resources Department to process candidates from first contact through the job offer step of the onboarding process.
Duties
- Establishing recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs
- Soliciting applicants by reviewing job boards, finding and attending industry-specific job fairs, reaching out to local trade schools, working with staffing agencies, etc.
- Determining applicant requirements by studying job description and qualifications
- Scheduling and following up on interviews
- Assessing applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, and experience
- Preparing and placing job ads
- Updating job descriptions
- Providing analytical recruiting reports to Human Resources Manager and Management Team
- Other relevant duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months recruiting experience
- Aviation experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a professional working proficiency
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Successfully pass a criminal background check, security threat assessment, and driving history check resulting in the issuance of an airport badge by the Sanford Airport Authority with driving privileges
- Must have own transportation to secondary job sites, job fair locations, trade schools, and similar
