The Opportunity 

The key job function of a team captain is to act as a manager of a set number of Sleep Coaches (your team).  The team captain should function as a supervisor with the ability to make key decisions as is related to day to day patient care, answer procedural questions, take supervisor calls as needed, ensure adherence to attendance policy, ensure adherence to daily expectations, and ensure that department policies are being followed by your team.  
 

The team captain should be able to adapt to changing needs of the department as defined by the Vice President and/or Operations Manager.

 

Primary Responsibilities  

Daily Tasks: 

  •  Complete Daily Tracking Report
    •  Review trends and give daily direction to employees based on trends and past due follow ups
    •  Coach employees and ensure they are completing their daily goals as assigned, and hold them accountable
  •  Review daily phone report
    •  Adjust schedule based on need, trends, and volume to drive <10% abandon rate
  •  Be available for questions and supervisor calls/issue resolution/escalations
  •  Identify, create, and drive efficiencies within the Compliance Log and Process
  •  Identify issues or areas of misunderstandings, and use those as opportunities to coach, or escalate if appropriate
  •  Ensure patients are consistently being added to the appropriate compliance portal in a timely manner, an are tagged to the referring doctor’s office (Look for coaching opportunities with Ronald)
  •  Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
  •  Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
  •  Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance

 

Weekly Tasks:

  •  Identify and assist any team member who has fallen behind
    •  Audit logs
    •  Barge employee calls
    •  Ensure classifications are being assigned to patients
  •  Review Customer Service Scores and look for coaching opportunities
  •  UKG - Manage time off requests, timecard approvals, etc
  •  Plan weekly meetings with team members to review KPIs, review updates, train and educate

 

Monthly Tasks: 

  •  Assist with meeting PAP compliance and first resupply goals
  •  Training with Operations Manager on items of interest (i.e. systems, process, team improvement ideas, etc)

 

Skills for Success 

  •  Ability to think critically
  •  Ability to analyze and interpret data, and make decisions
  •  Skilled a clear and effective communicator
  •  Patience and adaptability

 

Required Qualifications 

  •  Supervisory experience preferred
  •  1 year of Customer Service and/or clinical experience required
  •  DME/CPAP Experience preferred
