Description:
A manufacturing company located in Davenport, IA is looking to hire industrial assemblers! This company makes large packing machinery for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Each machine is made based on customer's specifications, which means this is not a simple or repetitive position. Candidates that enjoy a challenge, like working with their hands and are interested in variety are urged to apply!
Job Summary:
- Assembly of parts into sub and final assemblies based off blueprints
- Makes necessary alignments, routine test and adjustments
- Assemble, install, and troubleshoots electrical controls systems
- Maintains accurate assembly information including time records, assembly problems, and modified blueprints, ECO's, EON's, Inspection check sheets and Loose parts lists.
- Use of fixtures, gauges, scales, hand/power tools, etc.
- Must be able to handle large, heavy parts & materials as required.
Requirements
- Ideally 2 years of more of industrial/mechanical assembly experience
- Ideally have 2 years or more of formal training in basic electrical and working with electronics
- Must have a fundamental knowledge of basic electricity and electronics
- Must be able to troubleshoot circuitry and make necessary diagnosis and repairs
- Experience with soldering of PC motherboards or welding a plus, but not required
