What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Machine Operator position at Aerotek?

Description:
- Candidates will be evaluating parts that are moved over by press operators for defect or issues before passing it on to next section
- Bringing racks to the lines for parts that come from the press
- Helping an operator load raw material into the machine if needed
- Use of hand sanding and pneumatic sanders to help with defect finds
- Keeping production line operating with their team
- Helping team on their line should issues arise, by finding production supervisors or maintenance for issues
- Working within a team environment
- Hot factory setting, can get extremely warm
MUST HAVES:
- Must be able to work 7 days a week if required (Volunteering is asked first, then mandating per union)
- Manufacturing or industrial work experience preferred but not required
- Use of hand tools (could be sanding)
- Working with others is a must
- Lifting of up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Must be able to keep all PPE on (kevlar sleeves and gloves) while working near presses. These are provided to candidates.
PERFECT FIT:
- Previous HOT work environment experience (glass, textile, automotive factory, etc)
- Injection molding or plastics experience
