Shift: 2nd shift: 4:20pm to 1;50am (Monday to Thursday)
Duties:
- Maintain dies and tooling to print specification as required.
- Sharpen and shim dies to die specifications
- Heat treat all cutting tools to print specification
- Perform machining duties as specified. Train/Mentor other associates in machining practices as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance on dies to schedule (TRT)
- Properly lace or start a strip in accordance with standard procedure.
- Perform first and last piece evaluations in accordance with SOPs.
- Read strips accurately and create TRT when applicable.
- Repair and maintain dies, components and fixtures using tool & die techniques and tools as required to support production
- Evaluate and support press set-ups (inserting/installing die sets, accessories, safety equipment, welding fixtures, tapping
- fixtures, etc.)
- Design, build and/or refurbish dies and gages as required.
- Test try out and develop new dies or upgrades as required.
- Build tool & die components, jigs, fixtures and gages to print specification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or GED
Associates/Technical School for Machining
Tool and Die Journeyman Papers or equivalent Experience
Must Haves:
Direct Precision Grinding Experience
Toolmaking Experience
