What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wire Shop Associate position at Aerotek?
Description:
Seeking Wire Shop Associates, to assist with material handling and cutting lengths of wire according to customer specification
- Working with coils and reels of various sizes throughout warehouse and loading bays. Some weighing between to 200 - 5,000lbs.
- Cutting wires to specific sizes. Must be able to pull the specific wire and then cut to the specific size/ quantity
- Must be able to maneuver reels around facility, using pallet jacks and stand-up forklift
- Loading wire reels are on a circular apparatus to roll throughout facility
- Will be trained to operate "Coiler Machine" which weighs and cuts the material to specifications
Shift: 7AM - 4:30PM M-F
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in non temperature controlled warehouse (hot in summers, cold in winters)
- Inventory control is a must Wire cutting experience is a must
- Position is very physically intense and will require a lot of heavy lifting, twisting and bending
