As a leading consultant to the education community, our focus is to design, outfit and support technical teaching labs throughout the New England region. With a #1 selling line of 3D printers, lasers, CNC, robotics, and other technical training solutions, we are seeking a professional, energetic individual with a passion for cool technology to position AET as the #1 trusted and valued resource to vocational schools, technical colleges, and universities throughout the region.
Desirable candidates must enjoy research and have a relentless interest in asking questions and gathering information to support sales generation. Stories of how unsuspecting rocks were overturned to discover significant sales opportunities are required. The ability to collaborate with a sales team and design a unique approach to meet the needs of our market is a must. A proven track record of documentation and measurement should be represented.
Geographically, the ideal candidate will reside in the central Massachusetts area, allowing for convenient travel to our customers throughout New England. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills and be highly motivated to meet sales goals. Ultimately, you will continue to help us grow our customer base in this highly-lucrative market and establish AET Labs as the go-to solution in technical education.
Responsibilities Include:
- Consult with prospects and existing customers through direct sales visits, email, telephone contact, and other activities
- Research school districts, identify needs opportunities and key decision-makers
- Schedule sales meetings on-site and remote through video conferencing
- Develop new opportunities through the development and implementation of creative promotional tactics
- Maintain and enhance the database of activity, generate progress analysis and present for discussion
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to meet individual and group sales quotas
- Manage all aspects of projects to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate the ability to work from an established home office; travel locally as needed up to 2-3 days per week, with occasional overnight travel
Summary of Qualifications:
- Sales research experience
- Advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in working with a CRM database program
- 5 years outside sales experience
- An electro-mechanical aptitude, CAD skills and familiarity with the EDU market is a plus
- Experienced and comfortable presenter
- Effective organization and time management skills
- 4-year degree in business or technical field
