Acuff & Associates is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and competent processing for the administration of Defined Contribution plans. The ideal candidate will have pension/retirement plan administration experience, strong attention to detail, and superior customer service skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Perform annual plan administration for an assigned caseload of medium to large complex plans (asset reconciliation, data reconciliation, employer contribution calculations, annual testing and reporting)
- Review plan documents and ensure provisions are adhered to properly
- Work closely with the Relationship Manager to resolve any compensation and/or contribution discrepancies between the census and the recordkeeping platform
- Perform top heavy, 401(k), 401(m), 410(b), 5500, and 415
- Prepare required governmental filings for assigned caseload
- Prepare reporting that outlines all results from the plan year
- Display a positive, helpful attitude to help create a friendly environment for clients and co-workers
- Ensure the growth of the business and be committed to company’s success
Requirements: The candidate should: Have a minimum of 2 years retirement plan administration experience Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable professional work experience showing increasing levels of responsibility Have the ability to solve complex problems without direct supervision Possess strong financial acumen and the ability to put accounting principles into practice Have superior organization skills with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, schedule, and establish and follow up on deadlines Demonstrate superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Have the ability to address and resolve issues quickly and efficiently Have proven strong analytical skills, including experience identifying problems and providing effective resolutions Thrive in a team environment and be a strong team player Have technology and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Relius software, FT Williams and PensionPro experience strongly preferred ASPPA or NIPA Designation strongly preferred No calls to Acuff & Associates, please. #INDHP
