The Commercial Legal team is instrumental in keeping day-to-day operations and transactions moving quickly while protecting the company. We are looking for a business minded attorney to build and lead our commercial (vendor) legal team, to help support our fast-growing business and to build for scale. What You’ll Do
- Draft and negotiate NDAs, vendor agreements, merchant agreements and amendments to existing agreements.
- Support the legal contract management process by tracking contract status, prioritizing contracts for review, and processing executed contracts in accordance with department procedures.
- Maintain efficient legal filing system and manage retention of electronic and paper documents (e.g. contracts, NDAs, and other key documents).
- Identify and help implement process improvements to policies and procedures
- Collaborate on team initiatives and other special projects.
- Provide general administrative support to the Commercial Legal team, while interacting cross-functionally with other departments and outside counsel.
- Support Vendor Legal efforts related to M&A integrations.
- Build collaborative and effective working relationships with various teams in the U.S. and internationally.
Who We Look For
- At least 6 years of relevant experience
- Prior in-house experience required.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on managing time, documents, projects and relationships
- Extreme attention to detail, ability to adjust on the fly, problem-solving skills, intellectual maturity, business acumen, proactivity and a great attitude
- Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently both solo and as part of a team
