Our client provides a broad range of community-based, outpatient diagnostic, primary care, extensive home health and hospice care, and comprehensive cancer and rehabilitation services spanning the full continuum of care.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Assembling the equipment like gastrostomy tubes, catheters, and oxygen supplies in emergent situations in the triage area.
• Apply continuous patient’s oxygenation pulse oximetry and verbalize any abnormal findings to the provider/triage RN.
• Providing the basic bedside care like dressing wounds, changing bandages, first aid treatment, casting/splinting equipment assembly and assistance.
• Taking the patient's vital signs such as respiration, temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
• Enter the data related to the record of patients in computer systems, including medications, verifying allergies, past medical history.
• Monitor vaccination history & provide vaccination injections.
• Keep the health records updated
• Inform the patients about the doctor’s order, keep the communication lines open with the patient and visitor.
• Assist the triage RN in operational/logistical operations in patient progression.
• Help the patients to understand documentation or paperwork
• Perform visual acuity testing in triage.
• Talk to the patients and their families about their treatment plan, tests, and diagnoses
• Aid in phlebotomy - analyze patients, look over the requisition form for requested tests, and set equipment, patient and puncture site.
• Assists in IV set-ups: validate solution to be regulated, analyzing infusion site, keep track of IV function and patient comfort, and terminate IV at an appropriate time, as ordered by MD ( Not in the scope of practice to initiate an intravenous IV- RN only)
• Manage adequate inventory of examination/triage room supplies and set the rooms.
• Undertake various triage responsibilities: answer calls, reply to patients and family members questions and concerns. Provide updates on progression of care.
• LPNs can screen for pain and report findings to RN or Provider.
• Process for suctioning patient via the oral, nasopharyngeal or tracheal routes and assure patient safety by maintaining optimum oxygenation and minimizing cross contamination
• Assessing a patient’s oxygenation status and utilize pulse oximetry.
• Blood glucose testing and monitoring.
• Perform bladder scans

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- BSN preferred
- MS LPN
- Must have 2 years exp in specialty.
- COVID/Flu vaccine required, no exemptions accepted.
- BLS/ACLS required.
- Must work either Thanksgiving Day or Day after.
- Must work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
- Must work New Years Eve or New Year’s Day
- Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
