Job Description
The Kraft Heinz Global Agriculture team is looking for a summer intern to assist in the Product Development work done by its Heinz Seed business unit. This position will be responsible for a wide range of technical, manual, and administrative work. Candidates must be adaptable, willing to put in "sweat equity" and have a curiosity about the seed industry and how it forms the basis for the food and fiber supply-chain.

Job Description
The Kraft Heinz Global Agriculture team is looking for a summer intern to assist in the Product Development work done by its Heinz Seed business unit. This position will be responsible for a wide range of technical, manual, and administrative work. Candidates must be adaptable, willing to put in "sweat equity" and have a curiosity about the seed industry and how it forms the basis for the food and fiber supply-chain.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assisting in the maintenance and evaluation of varietal trials throughout the state of California.
- Harvest, sampling, and delivery of tomatoes to laboratory locations.
- Participation in marketing efforts - customer events, media asset development (video, photography, social media and blog content), white space activations, etc.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in a college agricultural degree program
- Ability to work outdoor, under diverse environmental conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to be insured and drive a company vehicle
- Desire to understand and participate in the varietal development process
- Good English speaking and writing capabilities, Spanish speaking-ability preferred
- Proficiencies include strong written and oral communication skills, problem solving, and innovation.
- Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrates ownership of projects and supports culture of meritocracy
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities without supervision, meet established deadlines and excel in a team environment.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to take care of difficult situations considerately and resolve conflicts optimally.
- Analysis: correlation, root cause and effect.
- Organization: set and align with achievements and deadlines
- Communication: clear, concise and organized writing and speaking skills
- Able to work independently, acting with sense of urgency and as an owner
Salary Range:
- Between $18.00 and $23.00 per hour.
