Job Posting for Technical Sales Manager at AGC Chemical Americas
The Sales and Marketing Manager will manage assigned markets and accounts to promote, specify and sell Fluoropolymers and Compounds, primarily to the Oil & Gas Environment with significant focus on developing the Alternative Energy Markets as they evolve in North America.
Essential Functions:
Develops and meets annual sales budget from existing, targeted, and prospective accounts through direct, written, and verbal sales contact. Sales revenue is in the $15 million to $25 million range.
Negotiates contracts to secure business by establishing pricing, terms, volumes, grades purchases, release quantities, packaging, shipping details, and creates and implements rebate programs to protect market share.
Manages cost center budget to effectively support relationships with customers through planned sales calls, telephone, and written contact. Secures our position as a long-term material supplier and business partner.
Supplies product development feedback to the management team and business unit by communicating customer and market needs and benchmark our quality against competitive offerings.
Supplies sales forecasts, budgets, account call reports, and territory presentations.
Participates in customer visits to AGC offices and plant tours.
Supplies data needed in the collection of company driven fluoropolymer market surveys.
Maintain active involvement in industry associations to elevate the profile of AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical field with a background in Business and/or Marketing.
10 years’ experience in fluoropolymers or related industry a plus, or equivalent Energy related experience (Oil & Gas, Alternative Energy, Power Generation, Power Storage, Power Transmission).
Proven record with prior sales and/or technical experience is required
Excellent leadership and communication skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Able to work independently and function within a matrix styled management philosophy
Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CRM, and other ERP systems
Frequent overnight travel required for managing territory (30-50%)
