What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at AGCO?
Purpose:
The Supply Chain Analyst position exists to provide coordination and management of schedules/materials to meet customer demand and production schedules while maintaining inventory targets, plant capacity, and meeting the necessary plant metrics. Success in this position requires a broad and proven background in customer service, supply chain methodologies, SAP, data analysis, decision making and communication.
Responsibilities:
- Participate on cross functional new product teams to ensure successful launches and running changes.
- Develop initial buy, replenishment, and safety stock plans.
- Provide visibility of projects to management and other key stakeholders and escalate issues to management when unable to resolve them independently with the team.
- Develop standard work and process documentation to ensure repeatability and a standard for which improvements can be made.
- Continuously develop and improve the strategy to improve efficiencies in various supply chain processes.
- Assist with optimization efforts as requested – such as space planning, etc.
- Support various Operations improvement projects either in a role as a facilitator or participant.
Technical/Functional Skills Required:
- Customer service mindset
- Direct experience with materials requirement planning
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of SAP
- Ability to interpret and analyze data from SAP and make appropriate decisions
- Intermediate (or higher) level proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong project leadership, problem solving, and communication skills
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
Education & Experience:
- Degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- APICS CPIM certification a plus
- 3-5 years of supply chain related planning experience required
- Experience developing, managing, and executing cross functional project plans

- This position requires up to 25% travel, supports Jackson and Round Lake facilities.
