What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Data Engineer - Data Labs position at AgentSync?
AgentSync is forming a new Data Lab team in order to contextualize and assess the quality of our data across the business. Data is at the heart of all of our products at AgentSync, and we need a team of experts to provide insight into the data at the core of our products, and make our product insight and other business data available and understandable to the wider organization.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be designing and building long-term architectures to support data analysis and insight for a company where data is our DNA. You will be implementing the best practices that allow our company to use data to succeed long-term, and mentoring people across the business on how to use the tools you implement.
What you’ll do:
- Write and maintain Python code
- Design data models, data pipelines, data storage solutions, and ETLs
- Identify and collaboratively implement new data technologies
- Mentor other engineers in data and analytics engineering best practices
- Collaborate with data analysts across the business to define best practices and design shared data architecture
- Maintain application infrastructure (AWS using CDK)
- Create greenfield solutions for large business problems
- Lead development, testing, and automation best practices on a growing and evolving team
Your experience:
- Experience with Python and SQL
- Experience designing data models, data pipelines, and ETLs
- Experience using automated testing frameworks with data engineering services
- Passion for and experience with mentoring data engineers and/or analytics engineers
- Experience using cloud technologies (like AWS Glue, Athena, and DBT) to create ETLs
- You enjoy working on a collaborative, learning oriented team
- A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
- Experience with creating statistical models a plus

Salary:
In accordance with Colorado law, the following represents AgentSync’s reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role, if hired in Colorado.
Denver/Boulder Metro
$110,000 - $190,000
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in AgentSync’s equity programs.
