Position Responsibilities: The Billing Specialist will complete high volume monthly processes with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy. In addition, the position may be asked to fill in during the absence of other billing staff.
Essential Functions: (Core duties or tasks that are fundamental and not marginal to the performance of the job)
- Sort fiscal daily mail.
- Prepare and process Bank Deposits - electronically and in person.
- Generate monthly consumer billings and donation letters. Includes printing invoices, reviewing, and preparing them for mailing.
- Post receipts to consumers accounts in system.
- Process bi-monthly notifications to consumers with outstanding balances.
- Prepare and issue monthly Accounts Receivable invoices for contracted services.
- Assist in processing provider billings.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years billing experience required; Associate's Degree in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred. Experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Experience with customer billing systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Problem solving
- Ability to work professionally with internal staff, vendors and funding sources.
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.
Hours: 30 per week; M-Th, 100% in office position
