Position Summary:
Drives sales through an engaged, well-trained, independent sales force with a focus on the core businesses the cooperative serves, mainly agricultural growers and producers. Manage the sales of the energy division through data development, market insights and strategic business initiatives with risk management and operations. Develop sales plans to meet and exceed divisional financial goals through all departments including, refined fuels, propane lubricants and service.
Essential Functions:
- Manage sales of engaged sales team through defined goals, analytical business development with data insights to support decisions and hold accountable team members for meeting and exceeding goals.
- Manage Key Account Business plan through independent contract group to grow non-endemic business within and outside of normal market area.
- Lead cost analysis with return-on-investment modeling for existing and new business or technologies through risk management team.
- Lead development and implementation of sales and marketing promotions. Attend product update meetings on a regular basis, sales refresher training as needed.
- Create symbiotic procedures to improve operational, business operations and service work with sales team.
- Design, develop and manage sales reporting, including weekly, monthly and quarterly volume goals, financial metrices and grow development plans for sales. Manage and approval commission structures and quarterly payouts of sales team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Agriculture or other business-related program; Equivalent experience may offset education.
- Advanced course work in Sales Management preferred
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of energy sales experience, including coaching, mentoring and/or training sales staff.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of all energy product lines along with sales ability/persuasiveness, face-to-face selling skills, assertiveness, tenacity/persistence, resilience, competitive adeptness, credit worthiness, and product proficiency.
- Knowledge of setting basis prices, futures and margins
- Demonstrated knowledge of building and maintaining multi-generational customer relationships

- Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship driven customer service skills
- Proven ability to work independently, in a team-oriented environment, and achieve results through others.
- Ability to support and communicate the Landmark mission statement and our core competency in all daily functions

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
