Our client is Hiring a Seed Sales Specialist to focus on seed sales within the South-Central Ohio area. In this role you will be interacting with progressive growers directly in the area building long-term relationships. You will be prospecting heavily and calling on new customers while providing a consultative approach to aid growers. Be the main contact for customers and work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the customer is taken care of. This role covers a larger territory around the Dayton to Columbus area and is home-based with travel throughout the territory.

- Prior retail seed sales working with growers, ideally 7+ years
- Strong ability for cold prospecting to new farms
- Enjoy a high level of autonomy in your role
- Willing to travel a large territory
Main Focus Areas:
- Facilitate corn and soybean seed sales of partnered brands on target accounts with the overall objective of growing the seed business.
- Perform 4-5 farm calls on average per day with the ability and passion to meet new growers, uncover opportunities and sell them seed products that meet their needs.
- Hold grower meetings, test plots and events.
- Work with the Seed Manager and VP of Agronomy to understand the seed programs and pricing structure.
- Work with our Precision Solutions team for VRS needs and recommendations.
- Work to ensure full understanding of product line and genetics.
- Complete all paperwork on a timely basis associated with delivery and pricing of products and/or services.
- Conduct product trials and seed side by side comparisons.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM system.
- Maintain the company truck in a clean, professional manner.
