AFS is growing and is looking for a dedicated Service Desk Technician to provide comprehensive support for our Microsoft-based systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth IT operations, addressing employee technical issues, and maintaining an efficient workflow.

This role is hybrid to our Jacksonville FL office.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Provide expert-level support and administration of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Manage and troubleshoot virtual desktop and server environments.
  • Deliver peer-to-peer support, sharing knowledge and assistance among team members.
  • Provide and track company assets, ensuring employees have the necessary hardware and software tools.
  • Troubleshoot and fix a wide range of hardware and software issues on employee laptops.
  • Utilize Zendesk or similar ticketing systems for tracking and resolving user requests.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to improve service delivery and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Manage application subscriptions across the company to ensure cost effective use.
  • Manage the Microsoft Teams and VoIP telephone system.
  • Keep end-users informed about the status of their support requests and provide timely updates.
  • Provide basic training to end-users on business applications and services to enhance their self-sufficiency and prevent recurring issues.

Who you are:
  • 2 years of experience in a service desk role supporting and administrating the Microsoft Office 365 suite and Active Directory provisioning.
  • Solid experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows systems, wireless and wired networks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially with remote team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE and Microsoft 365 Administrator preferred.
  • IT service management certifications including CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security and ITIL Foundations that show a passion for continuous learning.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
