Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team, focusing on catering and dinner services. This role is instrumental in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests, embodying our commitment to casual fine dining excellence. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will not only contribute to our evening services but also support catering events and fill in for other shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Excellence: Prepare high-quality dishes that align with our restaurant’s standards for casual fine dining, ensuring each guest's dining experience is memorable.
- Menu Development: Assist the Executive Chef in the creation and seasonal adjustments of menus for both the restaurant and catering services, incorporating innovative and creative culinary concepts.
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee and manage kitchen operations during dinner service and catering events, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective execution.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene, including monitoring of ingredient freshness and kitchen cleanliness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to foster a collaborative environment, training and mentoring junior staff, and stepping in for other shifts as needed to ensure operational excellence.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the kitchen is stocked with the highest quality ingredients and supplies, managing inventory effectively.
- Guest Satisfaction: Engage with guests as appropriate, gathering feedback on their dining experience, and making necessary adjustments to exceed expectations.
Requirements:
- Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Chef in a fine dining environment, with a strong portfolio of culinary achievements. Previous experience in catering is highly advantageous.
- Culinary Expertise: Exceptional skill in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. A deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
- Qualifications: Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional experience needed. Servsafe certification or equivalent
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility: Must be flexible with work hours, willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and able to adapt to filling in for other shifts as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
