Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Reconcile benefit statements.
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, benefits, and performance
- management using human resources management system software.
- Confidentially handle sensitive information and situations.
- Follow all Agri-Service standards.
- Administer employee benefits and manage new hire enrollment and open enrollment process.
- Process new hire and termination paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with the Payroll Coordinator regarding changes that effect payroll.
- Create and distribute reports using HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- Assist with payroll and back up as needed.
- Distribute and track all random drug screen selections.
- Tracks and updates Driving files for DOT and company drivers.
- Provides human resource related content for monthly communication.
- Maintain employee files, including filing documentation as needed.
- Audit employee files, benefit records and other paperwork as needed.
- Assists in coordinating employee events.
- Other job related and non-specific job-related functions as needed

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required.
- Ability to become proficient in the use of HRIS. Experience with Ultimate Software a plus.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily job tasks to maintain high quality, timely service to internal and external customers with limited supervision.
- Consistent attendance is essential.
Education and Experience
- Proof of high school diploma of General Education Degree (GED).
- 1-3 years Human Resource experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, write, and comprehend).
Physical Characteristics
- Must be able to accomplish any of the following for long periods of time: sit, walk, stand, climb stairs; reach pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
