Position Overview

The Vice President Technology Enablement is a member of the Technology leadership team and leads SunStream’s technology enablement functions including Service Desk, End-User Experience and M365. 

Essential Duties

Technology Strategy and Development 

  • Establishes a plan to support SunStream’s technology strategy 

  • Ensures services are aligned with business objectives and revenue goals 

  • Researches and assesses leading edge business offerings and identifies products and services to develop and offer 

  • Reviews current client-facing capabilities and anticipates future functional requirements 

  • Anticipates and converts client needs into technology solutions

Technology Delivery 

  • Ensures the consistent delivery of technology by creating, maintaining and enforcing standards/procedures including proper documentation, controls and issue management 

  • Establishes and enforces best practices around technology operations 

  • Ensures SunStream’s technology processes and services comply with applicable laws and regulations 

  • Identifies issues and initiates corrective actions 

  • Develops reliable metrics for hardware and software  

  • Identifies and implements process improvement solutions

Team Leadership and Management 

  • As team leader, builds a culture of accountability to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization. Motivate and inspire your team by creating an environment that promotes trust, engagement and team effectiveness. 

  • Effectively manage core people leadership practices to ensure business results are delivered with and through their team. 

 Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or a related field 

  • 5 years of leadership experience in architecture, infrastructure, software development and information security 

  • 8 years of experience managing technology professionals 

  • 10 years of experience in software development, cybersecurity, information technology or a related field 

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Required Knowledge and Skills 

  • Expert knowledge of technology enablement best practices 

  • Guiding individuals and teams to achieve organizational goals 

  • Initiating and managing change 

  • Preparing and managing a budget 

  • Identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long range goals or vision 

  • Analyzing business opportunities and risks  

  • Quickly understanding and addressing business situations, including opportunities and risks 

  • Preparing and presenting information to an audience in an engaging and effective way 

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with peers, senior leaders, customers, vendors and industry leaders 

  • Selecting, managing, coaching, motivating and developing diverse teams 

  • Communication, sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences 

  • Expert customer service skills, including the ability to communicate complicated information, deliver bad news effectively, and exceed customer expectations 

  • Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of SunStream and client systems and data
