Hiring: Farm Hand/ Equipment Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Operate application equipment, such as sprayers, spreaders, and injection systems, to apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs to crops.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate application rates and uniform coverage across fields.
• Follow prescribed application methods and agronomic recommendations to achieve desired results while minimizing environmental impact.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on application equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Conduct pre- and post-operational equipment inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.
• Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance activities and report any major repairs or issues to management.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their specific needs and preferences regarding product application.

Are you qualified?

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in agronomy, agriculture, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience operating agricultural equipment, particularly application machinery such as sprayers and spreaders.
• Knowledge of agronomic principles, crop production practices, and chemical application techniques.
• Ability to interpret and follow application instructions, product labels, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Willingness to work irregular hours during peak seasons, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
