About this Role:
We're looking for a Talent Development Specialist to spearhead activities associated with the continued growth, development and cultivation of internal staff. The primary focus of this position will involve 3 key areas: Training, Career Planning and Succession Planning. Within these individual functions you'll be responsible for collaborating with managers, employees and leadership to identify employees for future growth roles within the organization and develop the plans and strategies to bring these areas into fruition. A competitive candidate for this position will have previous talent development or talent management experience where they focused on activities surrounding succession planning, employee career planning and training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate relationships with internal & external trainers and vendors for specialized training.
- Locate and maintain training sources, resources and internal platforms.
- Engage in activities and strategies that result in continuous improvement of on-going learning company-wide.
- Regularly evaluate training resources for updating and improvements
- Work with managers to analyze, develop and monitor employee career plans for development and succession planning
- Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of learning.
- Conduct and maintain processes for assessments to support career development.
- Develop, implement & maintain proactive processes for continuity strategy.
- Champion, communicate and drive development, program information, processes and training
- Coordinate applications for Tuition program, track use, reimbursements & completions.
- Coordinate enrollment and follow up for employee general training needs.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and/or conduct legally required training company-wide.
- Research, locate, apply for & manage training grant opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have previous talent development experience with responsibilities focused on creating training, succession and career planning strategies or processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline such as training and development
- Previous experience overseeing LMS or E-Learning platform
- Experience researching, writing and procuring training grants
- High energy, enthusiastic, motivational engagement style
- Strong organizational, planning, project management, and problem resolution skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and influencing skills required
- Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent creative, conceptual and analytical thinking abilities
- Available and able to travel up to 25% (intermittently)
