What this role is all about:
We are looking for a Warehouse Operator II in Jerome, ID. The Warehouse Operator II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment to accurately ship, process and receive product: including unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, relocating, labeling, wrapping and stacking of product.
- Operate production equipment including robots, palletizers, and conveyor systems.
- Utilize sit-down forklift to load and unload product shipments, stand-up forklift to rack and un-rack product and electric ride on pallet jack to move and stage product.
- Report any issues with equipment to manager or supervisor.
- Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, and immediately report any potential food safety issues to management.
- Prepare, stage, load and unload trucks and containers safely and accurately.
- Match incoming raw and finished ingredient to the bill of lading.
- Match bills of lading to paper work, container numbers, and seal trucks on outgoing product.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Pick and stage orders to be shipped.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Inspect and perform maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain department sanitation duties per sanitation schedule.
- Conduct inventories as needed.
The Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a forklift required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift Driver Certification.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.
- Ability to operate touch-screen controls for robots.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations and standards.
- Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks; carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions; solve practical problems.
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percentages, decimals).
- Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
- Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
- Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

The Location:
Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago.
