AGS Quality Inspector Job description
AGS Devices is seeking a quality inspector that will support verification of electronic devices for authenticity, form, fit, function, dimensional compliance and much more. In this position the inspector will be tasked with using measuring tools, entering data into a computer, and verifying through various means that devices received meet specification. Other duties will be assigned that are not limited to inspection as appropriate.
If a candidate applies that has no experience inspecting electronic devices AGS would be willing to train the individual providing they have the right attitude, aptitude, and organizational skills.
Ideal candidates will possess some of the following skills and certifications:
1) It is desirable, but not a requirement, that the candidate possess, or has held at one time, an IPC certification in IPC- 610, IPC – JSTD-001, IPC 7711/7721, IDEA, or other electronic inspection or soldering training.
2) Ability to HANDLE TINY PARTS WITH TWEEZERS and use calipers, pin gauges, multi meters, smart tweezers, other measuring tools, and various LCR equipment a plus.
3) Proficiency in computer skills entering data, researching information online, saving reports in various formats, and ability to read detailed information and enter data quickly and accurately.
4) Organizational skills which will include, but are not limited to, keeping documents orderly and up to date, ability to follow online priorities through a database, ability to use math daily, and timeliness in completing projects.
5) Communication skills which consist of, but are not limited to, daily interaction with the inspection team, shipping and receiving, purchasing, and the sales team as appropriate. This will include e-mailing, calling, and verbally communicating as appropriate.
6) Multitasking projects with the ability to maintain organization is essential. The candidate will be required to be able to follow emergent needs as well as scheduled needs daily.
7) Quality inspectors will need to be able to learn new skills on an ongoing basis as new requirements develop and equipment is procured. All skills needed will be provided at AGS through mentoring and training.
8) This position requires the ability to work independently as well as in teams. It is important that the candidate be able to self-start, take on new projects, and proceed daily without being micromanaged.
9) It is essential that all employees at AGS are reliable to arrive on time, adhere to the company policies and procedures, and act in a professional manner.
10) This position requires some reasonable lifting of materials on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be physically fit enough to full fill the job’s duties that will be explained in detail at the interview.
