The Manager, Continuous Operational Safety (COS) - USA manages the COS Office within US geography, that means all products where AWPC is the Type Certificate or the Supplemental Type Certificate Holder (AW609, STCs on AW119/AW139 or other products). In addition, the COS Manager, under delegation of the Continued Airworthiness Italy, provides support in the investigations of events occurred in Americas on helicopters where AWPC is NOT the Type Certificate Holder.
The Manager, Continued Airworthiness - USA will engage with internal and external organizations to foster a culture of Continued Airworthiness. The manager is the main accident investigator, has the responsibility of FDM and FDR data analysis and, in collaboration with CPEs, will ensure the operational safety of aircraft throughout its service life through the application of company policy CPR.053. He is the main interface to maintain relationship and insure critical communications with key Authorities such as FAA, NTSB and DoD for all the in-service events.

1. | Manage COS Office within its reference geography in coherence with LH US principles. | 30 |
2. | Ensure coordination of Continued Airworthiness activities through Accidents Investigation, FDM & Prevention and Continued Airworthiness Governance functionally managing the CAE and providing technical expertise as necessary. | 10 |
3. | Prepare and manage budgets for the COS Office and provide / ensure a cross-geographical integrated view and consistency. | 10 |
4. | With reference to the Accidents investigation within US geography:

8. | Under the leadership of CAW ITA, work with other geographical offices to formalize / agree on a common cross-geographical approach and standard on Continued Airworthiness Management based on best practices developed in each geo / considering specific peculiarities, in terms of:

Qualifications for Position:
B. Experience
1. | Knowledge of helicopter systems; strong knowledge of AW products preferred |
