AHEAD is looking for an Assembly Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Libertyville. The Assembly Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee, direct and lead the production staff to achieve production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient operation and producing products to meet AHEAD's established quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee all immediate departmental activities and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws
- Work conjointly with other manufacturing supervisor(s) and provide assistance throughout the manufacturing department
- Effectively drive continuous and quality related improvements
- Actively engage in project management responsibilities and support a wide range of production group projects
- Resolve employee issues, ensure positive employee relations and promote and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently
- Analyze and solve problems or assist other team members in finding solutions
- Reviews production schedules, material and manpower resources and coordinate daily production activities in order to meet business objectives
- Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules
- Responsible for achievement of department goals and standards
- Develops and maintains positive peer and leadership relationship
- Direct efforts toward the reduction of process variation while ensuring that manufactured products meet quality requirements
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or 3-5 years in an assembly manufacturing environment
- 1 2 years' experience in a supervisor role preferred
- Ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities and effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Proven experience making day to day decisions that affect the overall quality of products and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
