What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Account Representative position at AHF Products?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Gain access to key decision makers and cultivate effective strategic relationships.
- Gather and analyze customer information to understand growth opportunities, accurately diagnose each account's business issues and develop customized account plans for each retailer.
- Orchestrate resources in supplying and collaborating on mutually defined retail solutions. Negotiate and implement consultative product and merchandising programs that further penetrate assigned accounts at optimal profit margins.
- Conduct ongoing business review and planning meetings with each retailer. Provide milestones to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the process of communication and knowledge management.
- Build credibility, confidence, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders through regular and ongoing communication.
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback. Resolve customer and business issues. Perform root cause analysis and drive solutions as needed.
- Develop, implement, and manage sound business plans to achieve agreed upon revenue and margin goals with targeted Retail Sales Accounts (RSA).
- Continually evaluate current and future sales probabilities, market trends, pricing, competition, and new opportunities within each product category. Collect and report accurate and timely information as requested.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Armstrong flooring products, distribution, and the retail flooring industry.
- Prepare business reports and manage expense account within budget.
- Valid driver’s license
TRAVEL:
Will require in field travel of up to 25-50%.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in and experience with CRM systems.
- Excellent communication/ and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency
- The ability to work toward team goals
- Floor covering industry experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3-7 years of successful field sales experience, preferably with key retailers and/or in building products industry.
- Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
- Top performer with outstanding results.

Salary : $40,800 - $51,700
