ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Lead, mentor, motivate, and manage plant controllers and plant accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Month-end closing responsibilities, including inventory adjustments and analyzing variances to budget and forecast for the plant management team and corporate leadership.
- Assisting with the annual plant budgets, including development of reporting packages and analysis of year-over-year changes.
- Exercise strong leadership skills including communications and teamwork between finance and other departments.
- Contributing to detailed quarterly forecasts for the full year based upon the production drivers and key performance metrics at each facility.
- Inventory control and reconciliation, including reviewing or auditing the adherence to cycle count procedures.
- Preparing economic cost studies for projects concerning new or existing products, manufacturing processes, equipment, or facilities.
- Annually reviewing and auditing of internal control procedures in order to minimize financial risk at the facilities.
- Supporting the plants in generating and quantifying cost savings opportunities.
- Supporting the external financial and operational audits.
- Responding quickly and accurately to customer requests, including special projects and other duties or analysis as requested by plant or divisional leadership.
- Member of the transition team formed to implement our M3 (ERP system) to recent acquisition.
- Synthesize results of monthly operations into a “story” that is useful, timely and in an executive level format.
- Will require 25% travel

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Ability to link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization.
- Customer focused with strong attention to detail and capable of delivering accurate, quality results in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
- Proven operational leadership skills in implementing and supporting new ideas.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with M3 or similar ERP system, preferred.
