The PHARMACIST In-Charge (PIC) Manager is essential to the success of our closed-door, fully automated, 24/7 operations Central Fill Pharmacy located in Gardena, CA. This position is Exempt and will manage the dayshift Operations of the Central Refill Center Monday through Friday and must be available other times, as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a large team of pharmacists and technicians.
The PIC should be comfortable with cutting-edge software and hardware technology and a high-volume pharmacy production-line. The skills discussed below are representative of the knowledge, experience and abilities that lead to our success together.
This role is essential in maintaining a consistent level of service expected by our patients and the success of the operation of the pharmacy. You will assist with training others in the workflow and overall services of AHF and AHF Pharmacy to an effective and error-free workplace. Thorough understanding of HIPAA and AHF Standards for confidentiality, client anonymity along with the AHF Pharmacy Compliance policy and procedures assures our patients and clients that AHF Pharmacy are trusted partners in their overall care and quality of life.
Performing as a supervisor, you will enhance the experience of other AHF Pharmacy employees by being friendly and helpful and providing a “helping hand” when they need it.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, LICENSES AND ABILITIES THAT ARE ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS:
- Valid State of California Pharmacist license (without restrictions) and/or hold an American Academy of HIV Pharmacist Certification (AAHIVP), current or successfully obtain within 18 months of employment
- Must have previous supervisory experience in a large pharmacy setting (Retail, Mail Order, or Central Fill).
- Previous experience with pharmacy systems, robotic operations and familiar with Windows PC applications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
