What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analysis Mgr position at AIG?
Job Overview:
The position is part of the Capital Management Finance function. Capital Management interacts with various AIG functional areas in order to drive capital efficiency, ensure compliance with regulatory and rating agency requirements and improve return on capital. Key functions include dividend and capital planning, stress testing, analysis of strategic asset allocations and capital assessment of reinsurance structures and strategic transactions.
Job Description:
- Maintain/update financial statement and RBC financial projections for the US General Insurance companies.
- Prepare stress testing analysis for local and corporate requirements.
- Prepare submission of capital planning documentation and analysis.
- Update rating agency capital models and coordinate rating agency survey and data collection.
- Model and analyze the capital impact of potential strategic transactions including potential acquisitions, new reinsurance structures or invested asset initiatives.
- Participate in business valuation projects for impairment tests and legal entity restructuring.
Job Requirements:
- 5 years in an insurance accounting or finance function
- Experience working with the US Risk Based Capital (RBC) formula, rating agency solvency model or other international solvency regimes.
- Strong excel skills; knowledge of advanced excel functions a big plus.
- Knowledge of P&C insurance and reinsurance structures.
