AIG Retirement Services specializes in retirement savings and investment products and services, including individual variable and fixed annuities, group retirement products, mutual funds, financial planning and investment advisory services. AIG Retirement Services has been in the 403(b) market since its inception writing the first K-12 403(b) programs over 50 years ago.
Responsibilities :
- Making proactive sales calls to educate financial advisors on supported products
- Responding to calls and questions about AIG’s product offerings
- Corresponding via email to financial advisors, external wholesalers, and other internal departments
- Creating and sending case specific illustrations on AIG annuities
The selected candidate should be a goal oriented, self-directed individual who is constantly striving to exceed expectations with an enthusiastic attitude. The candidate should also be motivated by achieving set goals and increasing sales within a designated territory.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or work equivalent with an emphasis on marketing/business preferred
- 3 years of financial experience industry experience in sales capacity preferred
- FINRA Series 7, 65 or 66, and a state variable life and health license required, or the ability and willingness to obtain required licenses within 120 days of hire.
- Top notch phone etiquette and excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written required.
- Experience with fixed annuities, variable annuities, mutual funds, advisory services and annuity income riders.

The internal wholesaler will partner with an external wholesaler as a product and business development resource supporting AIG Retirement Services financial advisors.
The internal wholesaler will be primarily responsible for gathering and utilizing marketing intelligence to increase sales for a specific territory. Together with the external wholesaler this position is responsible for developing new and maintaining existing business relationships. Business relationships are forged via proactively contacting financial advisors and providing sales support by responding to advisors calls regarding our products. This position offers base salary plus commission.
