What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef|Farm Restaurant position at Aimbridge Hospitality?
We are looking for creative and passionate chefs, with desire to reach for the stars. Candidates for the sous chef position have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a Michelin rated, or luxury resort restaurant. This position in the kitchen is one for a leader, who strives to motivate and inspire their team every day. Our next sous chef will be someone who aspires do better every single day.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years culinary experience, with adept knowledge in the many facets of the kitchen
- Food handlers certification in compliance with state requirements
- Ability to work well in high stress situations
- Proficiency in organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, and knife skills
- Ability to work an entire 10 hour shift
- Ability to work on weekends and holidays
- Stand for periods of 10 hours
- Understand guest inquiries and provide clear, concise responses.
- Be an ambassador of our property, representing all of our values and goals
- Communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a bonus
- Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
- Focus attention on details.
- Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment
- Consistently prepare exceptional quality food, according to recipes, guest orders, and direction from the Chef, adhering to production, portioning, and presentation standards
- Maintain a daily inventory of all product
- Prep mise en place, order, and allocate all items as needed to ensure successful service
- Strictly adhere to all food safety standards
- Be skilled in utilizing kitchen equipment, how to clean it, and store it
- Fryer, pizza oven, wood burning grill, induction range and other cookware
- Mixer, slicer, immersion blender, vitamix, food processor, etc.
- Listen and communicate effectively at all times during your shift
- Work respectfully and cohesively with other team members
- Full understanding of labor standards, and how to adjust due to occupancy
- Full understanding of ordering, taking inventory, and assessing needs based on business levels
