Location: Elmira, NY
Pay: Up to $160k annually, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced Director of Manufacturing to join one of the international market leaders in railway manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from initiation to closure to meet deadlines, cost and quality levels
- Oversee and direct manufacturing managers and workforce. Interact with other supporting functions and groups
- Be accountable for project results and managing the resources to achieve goals
- Work with customers and stakeholders to ensure adherence to safety regulations, scope of work, goals, deliverables, KPI’s, budget, and quality level
- Track and report project milestones and provide status to corporate executive level while keeping workforce informed of progress
- Lead, coach, and motivate project and manufacturing team members
- Manage complex problems and implement timely solutions
- Responsible for assembling the production staff
- Determine any recruitment needs and any adjustments needed to increase or reduce the workforce
- Analyze the future risk and impact of decisions
- Set and meet deadlines, forecast changes, and communicate current and projected issues
- Ensure open communication to management team
- MUST create a sense of belonging and ownership among team members
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or related field
- 10-15 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
- Project and/or line management experience
- Proven experience in managing (Senior) Stakeholders
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus
- Understanding of oral and written Spanish highly preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
