Position Overview:
This position is essential for overseeing the daily activities of the medical department. Flight crew members will utilize the Clinical Operations Supervisor as a resource and rely on them for operational oversite. The Clinical Operations Supervisor is to direct and support flight personnel to ensure cost-effective, professional delivery of clinical excellence and patient-centered care. This position is responsible for, but not limited to being accountable for maintaining medical supplies and equipment and ensuring staff compliance with company policy and procedure. The Clinical Operations Supervisor will work collaboratively with other members of leadership to ensure proper staffing and scheduling. The Clinical Operations Supervision will attend all meetings required to perform this job. They will be responsible for ensuring all employees maintain current certifications. The Clinical Operations Supervisor should work in conjunction with the Chief Clinical Officer and Director of Critical Care to provide education and training. This position is responsible for recruiting new skilled talent with the expectation that the Chief Clinical Officer has the final determination on who is hired. The Clinical Operations Supervisor is expected to exceed the mission, vision, and values of Air Ambulances Worldwide. Clinical knowledge, professionalism, respect, and adherence to all policies are expected. This position will be part of the Medical Leadership Council. You will be expected to complete self-accountability worksheets weekly for the first 60 days.
Hours:
This is a full-time position. 40 hours/week. Holding one or more part-time jobs is not permitted. Education is encouraged and will be accommodated for with the best interest of the company in mind.
Interpersonal Skills:
Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills. Must be team-oriented and be a good listener. Compassion and professionalism must dictate all interactions with staff. Candidates must have the ability to mediate interpersonal relations between staff members, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Must be teachable and willing to teach. This position is to continue to develop critical care skills. Personal development and rapport with flight crew and peers is essential.
Qualification:
Required: 5 years of critical care experience as RN/PHRN/Paramedic. AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS. AAW will pay for recertification. Valid Passport. BMI less than 32 and/or under 250lbs. Adhere to the BMI policy
Preferred: 1-year leadership or management experience, 2 years RN/PHRN. Advanced certification, national certifications.
Reporting structure:
This position reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer and CEO. Medical decisions may go directly to the Medical Director if necessary but should run through CCO first if possible. See patient Category policy. Collaboration and teamwork are expected with all other members of the leadership team.
Compensation:
Base salary is $40,000.00-$65,000 annually.
40 projected flights per year (3/month) ($250/ flight) annually is $10,000
Any additional flights will be $250/Flight; assuming administrative responsibilities are covered.
Flights will be tracked monthly by leadership.
An evaluation will be done at 60 and 90 days for performance growth
At the one-year anniversary of your start date, a performance-based salary increase will be reviewed.
Working Conditions:
There may be times due to inclement weather that you may need to work from home. The position is normally an office-based position due to the necessity of frequent conversation with the flight coordination, mechanical, and other administrative departments. Altitude and flight physiology may be a fact in this career when flying.
Benefits:
You will become eligible for the company health insurance benefits, which consist of health insurance, immediately upon beginning work full time. The standard PTO package will apply to your position, and you will begin to accrue time off immediately following your full-time start date.
Financial:
You will be issued a company laptop to be utilized in the accomplishment of your duties and company-issued credit cards for business purposes only. All purchases that exceed $500 will be vetted through the Chief Clinical Officer and/or Director of Critical Care.
Other Duties:
Medical On-call Duties are expected. Some nights and weekends are expected.
Your leadership team will work closely with you to assure a quality of work/ life balance that is suitable for all parties and guarantees the completion of all work-related activities.
Other duties as assigned and asked of you by the leadership team.
Non-Compete Clause:
Any education, training, development of policy, procedure, standard operating procedure and/or protocol can not be sold or used to aid in the advancement of another healthcare entity
