The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior training specialist responsible for design, development and/or evaluation of Air Tasking Order and Airspace Control Order coordination, instruction and production. Position will support exercises, tests and events (both live and virtual) by 505th Command & Control Wing.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of a wide range of principles, concerns, and practices used to produce and effectively maintain Air Taking Orders (ATO) and Airspace Control Orders (ACO) to include development processes, production and dissemination; knowledge of the systems used by the Combined Air Operations Center to create, maintain and disseminate ATOs and ACOs; and knowledge of AOC Combat Plans and Combat Operations Divisions processes and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP).

EDUCATION: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M with a subject area related to the position to be filled. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the procedures used in the design, development and conduct of evaluations of technical and professional training programs to include both effectiveness and efficiency assessments.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, concerns, and practices used to produce and effectively maintain Air Taking Orders (ATO) and Airspace Control Orders (ACO) to include development processes, production and dissemination.
3. Knowledge of the systems used by the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) to create, maintain and disseminate ATOs and ACOs.
4. Knowledge of AOC Combat Plans and Combat Operations Divisions processes and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP). Ability to assess the operational relevance of novel technological solutions to enhance multi-domain operations (MDO) and multi-domain command and control (MDC2) capabilities.
5. Skill in instructing/training individuals and groups on the procedures used to create, maintain, and disseminate ATOs and ACOs in an exercise/simulated environment.
6. Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, recognize solutions, plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Serves as Air Tasking Order (ATO) Production/Replanning and Airspace Control Order (ACO) subject matter expert.
- Responsible for Combat Plans Division (CPD) ATO Production and Combat Operations Division (COD) ATO Replanning and Airspace Management.
- Participates in operational assessments, special studies, and projects and applies ACO/ATO Production and Replanning experience effectively.
- Prepares written correspondence and, other documentation.
