Aimco is seeking a Development Sr. Project Manager to join our team in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Job Description
The Sr. Project Manager manages all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout. Acting as the Owner’s Representative overseeing and monitoring project activities to ensure that projects are completed within prescribed schedules and budgets, in compliance with Aimco policies and procedures, and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinates the pre-construction and construction efforts of large and/or complex real estate development and community redevelopment projects. Provides leadership for site project management function by managing, coordinating, and developing staff of Aimco and third-party CM/GC project managers. In collaboration with Aimco leadership, the Project Manager acts as the principal project representative.
Essential Functions: Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification. Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Assesses/approves change requests to determine impacts on scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk. Demonstrates ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering is preferred. Minimum 8 years directly related experience; and 3 years prior management experience. Possess occupied multifamily residential redevelopment experience with a proven background managing projects from concept through completion. A strong technical background is critical for the role. Must be a confident communicator with the level of presence necessary to present and influence executives and business unit leaders.
Qualifications: Successful track record in developing and/or redeveloping occupied multi-family buildings. Collaborative, professional approach to building positive relationships across the organization. Proactive communication with internal and external business partners at all levels and the ability to manage through influence when needed. Ability to multitask and appropriately prioritize projects and tasks.
Additional Information
Salary Range: Pay for this role will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected candidate. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $115,000-$180,000 plus a generous annual bonus.
