How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Justify and fulfill the role of process control system on various projects.
Coordinate with field instrumentation specialists to ensure proper/correct instrumentation interface with control system.
Develop / follow control system engineering practices which establishes standard hardware, software, and system development and application.
Assist advanced process control engineers/specialists with control system / advanced process control applications.
Identify opportunities for efficiency upgrades
Coordinate with other AL entities providing standard plants and ensuring controls systems design is in line with US operations requirements.
For existing systems, lead control system hardware and/or software upgrades to maintain systems at latest approved revision levels.
Provide consultation, review of MOCs associated with process control systems.
Identify opportunities to upgrade control systems to reduce costs through improved reliability, operability and obsolescence avoidance. Develop cost justified opportunities into projects.
Provide technical assistance to Maintenance and operating facilities to resolve control system operational or performance issues; including troubleshooting assistance, configuration and operator interface change assistance while adhering to the corporate MOC policy.
Provide coaching and guidance to Reliability Center and facility-based control system support resources for troubleshooting/repairing systems.
Educational Requirements
BS degree in Chemical or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
0 - 4 years experience
General Requirements:
Comply with all corporate policies, practices, standards and procedures.
Willing to travel within the Americas up to 25%
Accepts Call -Out duty
Willing to carry a cellular phone.
Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise
Possess good computer skills with Google Workspace products and computer networking.
Good communication skills, written and oral. Able to effectively interface with other engineering disciplines/organizations, plant operations, and senior management.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Physical Requirements
Must be able to wear personal safety equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing.
