Gardner Cryogenics, a division of Air Products, has immediate openings for experienced Welder /Fitters at our Alburtis PA Facility.
Applicants for the Welder/ Fitter positions must be capable of producing quality welds in accordance with ASME requirements and operate with minimal supervision. Candidates must be skilled in the following:
- SMAW, GMAW, GTAW
- Burning (oxy-acetylene and plasma)
- Soldering (soft and silver)
- Pipe fitting
- Radiograph test for qualification.
- Blue print reading
- This position is an evening shift from 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm with some overtime expected.*
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Will be exposed to high noise levels.
- Be able to work overtime as needed.
- Elevated work required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Welding
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Two years of operations experience in an industrial plant is preferred.
- Military experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude required
- Must be a self starter and willing to work alone.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Team player that is flexible and has a positive attitude.
Technical School Graduates: We encourage students to apply who may have a background in Industrial Systems, Machine Tool Technology, Welding, Mechanical Technology, Automotive Technology, HVAC, Instrumentation Technology.
