The focus of this position is the accurate accounting for and disclosure of corporate income taxes for companies in the Americas region. The Tax Accounting Analyst will utilize Onesource Tax Provision to calculate, analyze and record income tax provisions for companies in the Americas (excluding the US). They will also coordinate with and assist local country accountants Corporate Tax planners, and others to resolve and communicate income tax accounting issues related to the region. Excellent Spanish language skills are necessary for you to be effective in this role.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collect information for the monthly close, prepare and book income tax provision journal entries into SAP.
- Work with local country compliance teams to prepare return to accrual true up adjustments.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between Tax Accounting, local country compliance teams, and Corporate Tax planners responsible for the region.
- Prepare, load, and analyze tax provision data in the Company’s income tax accounting system, Onesource Tax Provision.
- Perform internal control reviews and document compliance with the Company’s internal control framework as it relates to income tax accounting for the region.
- Responsibilities include income tax provisions for 17 legal entities in 8 countries.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in both English and Spanish.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong desire to be a part of building a best in class income tax accounting team.
- Experience with reporting multinational income tax provisions and use of related software systems.
- Strong tax technical knowledge and experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or comparable industry experience at a large multinational corporation, providing at least 3 years of work experience in a US-multinational tax or technical accounting focused role.
- Note that the position is focused on the accounting for income taxes and is not responsible for tax compliance or return preparation. However, /background in tax compliance and/or tax planning is common to the experience of our professionals.
