POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing maintenance support to all areas of the distribution center. General maintenance of the facility, troubleshooting problems, rack repair & changes, working at heights, misc. housekeeping, plumbing, electrical, metal fabrication, minor carpentry work, and partnering with operations to support the facility in the repair of building equipment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.
Knowledge: Acquired through education, certifications, training, experience. Valid driver’s license.
Skills & Abilities: Facility maintenance, hand and power tools, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting
Level of Experience: 2 years industrial maintenance specializing in warehouse/distribution center facilities
Level of Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.
- Evaluating and problem-solving building issues in a timely manner.
- Performs general building maintenance as directed, such as lighting replacement, simple construction, wiring, repair of overhead doors, plumbing, and rack repair.
- Focuses on reliability of equipment, preventative maintenance, and facility maintenance & improvements.
- Maintains efficient operation of material handling equipment by clearing jams and removing foreign materials.
- Mechanical work like painting, drywall, hanging pictures & TVs, painting/taping lines on the floor, and the assembly and moving of furniture.
- Electrical such as changing light bulbs and installing or replacing electrical sockets or switches.
- Uses structured preventive maintenance systems to maintain distribution machinery and building equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and good maintenance practices.
- Operate material handling equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Work directly with vendors in a courteous manner.
- Follow proper safety procedures according to OSHA standards.
