Engineering Manager

Essential Functions

• Review customer drawings, specifications, electronic media and any other supplied information for accuracy and compatibility to manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead Engineering staff according to company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company objectives.
• Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Plans documentation system.
• Selects, develops, trains and supervises staff. Supervise department personnel related to project assignment and engineering functions
• Revise processes and documentation, as required, for purposes of improvement in quality and/or production efficiencies.
• Produce engineering documentation required to adequately describe the manufacturing process and documentation, including drawings and instructions.
• Interface with engineering and/or design departments to resolve issues that affect or are affected by the manufacturing/production process.
• Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds or allocates funds from the department budget.
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, and staff conferences to inform management of current status of each project.
• Working with the operations manager, reviews and monitors quality and process improvements and new product development.
• Act as company liaison to outside manufacturing sources to communicate manufacturing process, documentation and inspection requirements.
• Responsible for OSHA compliance and FMEA process
• Anticipate market trends for technological characteristics and new merging technologies.
• Cooperation with sales department for proposing technical solutions, estimates and descriptions; customers visits when required
• Lead and meet the expectations for deliverable completion timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel

Required Education and Experience*

• Mechanical Engineering degree or similar/related degree with eight to ten years engineering management experience.
• Master degree preferable; understanding of structural design (3d CAD SolidWorks, fluid dynamics and automation/controls
• Experience in design and/or manufacturing environment for equipment/machinery.
• Hands-on leader with demonstrated experience at successful high-performance team building. Ability to work in and foster a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Cranberry Township, PA 16066: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Mechanical engineering: 8 years (Preferred)
