Technician II - Assembly/Test

Aker Solutions, located in Mobile, Alabama is looking to add a Technician II - Assembly/Test.

What will you be doing?

Essential Functions

• Perform Fiber Optic Testing & Splicing (Outside Plant Certified)
• Perform Low Voltage (1000V) Cable Testing & Medium Voltage (6000V ) Cable Testing
  • Conductor Resistance, Insulation Resistance, Crosstalk/Attenuation, Impedance, Resistance, and High Potential Testing
• Perform & Assist in Hydrostatic Pressure Testing of SDSS Umbilicals & DE Products (10,000-30,000psi)
• Operation and Basic Maintenance of High Pressure Water Jet & Hydratron Pumps
• Record all pertinent data, ensure correct digital recording methods are used.
• Setup digital recording of pressure tests (CompactRIO, NI Equipment, Pressure Transducers, etc).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• High school Diploma or GED
• 3-7 years of related experience (verification, F.A.T., cable testing, plant automation, etc)
  • Hydroblasting & Industrial Water Jetting (3-5)
  • Test Engineering Technicians (3-5)
  • Aerospace Testing (3-7)
  • Instrumentation Technicians (3-7)
  • Hydraulic Pressure Testing (3-5)
  • Electrical & Communications Testing (3-5)
• Note that some experience will be more relatable/weighted more to what FAT does than others.
• OR
• Associate degree with 0-2 years experience in tech or testing field.
• Proven Skill Demonstration of Essential Functions of a Tech II

• Perform pre-employment Competency Test if required
