Position Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager will work alongside the Store Manager to ensure the “success” and the “significance” of the store. Success is accomplished by being committed to our purpose, establishing and teaching best practices, and striving for excellence with our customers. We want to be excellent retailers that love our customers and our Team. Significance is accomplished by genuinely caring for and developing the store’s team. We want you, alongside the Store Manager, to create and sustain a culture that is less about what you sell and more about who you are and who you serve.
Additionally, you will support the Store Manager in daily leading the sales floor to ensure the best experience possible for customers, assist the Operation Manager with store operations, motivate Team Members to pursue excellence, establish and teach best practices to prepare Team Members for their future, and to serve and inspire customers and Team Members alike to get outside.

Position Requirements:
• 2 years in a management or leadership role preferred
• Passion for the Outdoors combined with substantial professional or personal
experience in outdoor adventures/hobbies
• Customer service experience
• Proficient in computer and business-related software (Word, Excel, POS, etc)
• Excellent supervisory, analytical, and reasoning skills
• Ability to push/pull/pick-up 10-50 pounds when moving boxes and can involve lifting
these just below shoulder level
• A strong connection to and intent to work in adherence to our Purpose, Principles, and Values
• 2 years in a management or leadership role preferred
