Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions

- Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for the cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment.
- Promptly acknowledge guests, trainees, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Respond to, and whenever possible, resolve guests’ questions and complaints promptly and in a manner that reflects the Mission, Vision and Spirit of the USSRC.
- Meet or exceed the expectations of the Food Service Management Team for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments.
- Ensure that register money is retrieved, delivered, and handled in accordance with written procedures while working in the Cafeteria, Grill or in a food service refreshment cart.
- Operate cash register in an accurate, effective, and efficient manner to ensure that there is no delay in service to guests, trainees or employees.
- Ensure that all money is secure and always monitored.
- Balance cash register at the end of shift and transport to Cash Control in an accurate and timely manner.
- Perform all food preparation duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with expected numbers of guests, such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparations, panning up biscuits, sausage, waffles, preparing pizza, cutting fruit, hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, specialty sandwiches, etc.…
- Meet or exceed the expectations of Food Service Management Team for the accurate and timely balancing of cash registers.

Supervisory Responsibilities No
Required Education and Experience
Education: Completion of High School or G.E.D. required.
Experience: Previous cashier experience strongly desired. Some experience (0-3 months) in a food service environment desired. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to interact with guests, trainees, and employees effectively and in a courteous, professional manner.
Work Environment/Physical Demands Summary
This position has the following special requirements:
· Walking to access other departments and areas of the Food Service Department.
· Standing for long periods of time (4-6 hour) or for duration of shift operating cash register on concrete floor.
· Pushing, carrying, lifting items, equipment, and supplies, weighing up to 40 pounds to waist height.
· Bending, kneeling, reaching to store & retrieve supplies and equipment.
· Reading, sight wrist movements, feeling to operate cash register, handle money.
· Talking and hearing to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, guests, and employees.
This position involves working in a climate-controlled environment. This position may involve working in a kitchen that is subject to changing temperatures. This position deals extensively with the public and employees throughout the organization who interact with assigned area of responsibility.
